COMMUNICATION begins with an impulse within an individual desiring clarity refinement and understanding from another or others. Within every communication dynamic there is the in built challenge to address one’s needs in relation to how they are going to be heard by and responded to by another. It is sensitivity to how one is going to heard and processed by the other that determines how well one is received.
As every individual is going to receive, process and respond to communication in different ways, the key to ‘effective’ communication is listening deeply to how best to communicate to be heard. Understanding of the person’s personality, insecurities etc help to develop this sensitivity and cultivate trust between the two of you .
Just as we refine, adjust and vary our body positioning and movement patterns, as do we make the same modifications with how we communicate with others. The subtle art of doing the same with how we communicate with ourselves can be seen as a process of self reflection and self assessment. This process is integral to being adaptable in life.
Every ‘ interaction’ in life can be seen as a form of ‘communication”. How the moon affects the tides, how the seeds know when to sprout out toward the sun, how a baby knows when to be born. These communication patterns can be mapped as natural rhythms in our process of evolution.”
