The Principles of the AcroLife program endeavor to guide students in a trajectory of continued physical, mental and emotional growth.

PLAY
Thru Play we learn to improvise and find ‘our own way’, developing our intuitive capacity, creativity and ability to innovate.

” A Playful mindset ” operates out of a safe-to-fail environment where we are more likely to :

* persist with learning despite failure
* interact and work more with our group/team
* push our limits and challenge ourselves
* maintain psychological equilibrium
* establish a sense of freedom where we are ‘free’ and ‘safe’ to learn from our mistakes.
* relate to our activity with continued enthusiasm and passion

 

BALANCE
Balance is a state whereby we are conscious of the placement of our body, mind, and emotions in relation to each other and the world around us.

Balance In The Body
– Full Body Integration, moving thru Full ROM of our joints, and equal attention to flexibility, strength, and endurance.

Balance In the Mind
–  Developing Problem Solving and Self Regulation Capacities.
–  Utilizing our thought processes to strategize and achieve goals stimulates self-efficacy and the process of neuroplasticity.
–  We learn to self-regulate utilizing accurate self-assessment, intuitive listening, and focus on breath skills.

Balance In the Emotions
– A support – trust relationship configuration establishes a non-judgemental, emotionally equalizing experience
– The contextual dynamic of equal contribution produces feelings of validation, acceptance and balances the endocrine and nervous systems

 

LEARN
In acroyoga, we adopt a ‘playful mindset ‘ within a structured, technical framework.
By containing initiative and freedom within structured parameters, growth and learning can occur within a safe and supportive context.
This framework progresses students at the pace of their own individual goals while supporting their development in the context of their relationships and community.
