Cooperation over individual acts for personal gain is what sustains a community and allows it to thrive.
Acroyoga is a living embodiment of this understanding whereby we utilize group and partner exercises, drills and games to actualize our success as an individual is determined by how effectively we operate within the context of a team.
The seeds of this practice are nurtured in play.
Playing allows us to move beyond the individual’s drive to take control and opens up the game to a more equal playing field.
In the words of Plato “you can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation”.
The reasoning being that during play people are more attune to be themselves, to drop presences and let so much more of who they are come through.
