Humans are giant processing units, how we receive and respond to signals in our environment, determines our behaviour and the shape of our interactions and lives.
In acro, when we force or block, we create pressure.
When we contain and offer equal resistance, we utilise dynamic tension to direct flow and ease.
How we “ meet “ the person we are working with, is integral to our the movement between us flows. Utilising a combination of mindset and body mechanics comes into play.
From the cellular level, the mechanics that create partner acro movement is a dynamic interaction between how we receive information from contact points on the body and the actions we coordinate in response.
If the interaction is one of balance, cohesion occurs.
In partner acro, we are receiving information and signals thru the connection points with another body and responding back with an amount of pressure we apply.
If this interaction involves forcing – there is less opportunity for flow within the movement.
When we utilise containment and equal resistance, dynamic tension produces timing, coordination, ease thru our movement, as well as explosive power.
Body Placement, Bone Stacking and Breath also contribute to a sense of flow and “being in sync” with each other in partner acro movements.
